God is blessing us with volunteers, food, and patience to get through this expansion. Thank you for your continued support and compassion as we work together to provide emergency assistance for our neighbors in north Raleigh experiencing a crisis. You have provided food for families struggling to make ends meet as the price of gas increases—and paychecks don’t.
January:
Families served: 138 129 received food
$4,595.16 requested for 31 families (all promissory notes not yet fulfilled)
(Individuals) 334 308
February:
Families served: 99 87 received food
$2,987.96 requested (all promissory notes not yet fulfilled) (Individuals) 213 191
(The number of clients requesting emergency energy assistance is typically less in January and February as clients are receiving assistance from a grant through Wake County Human Services. The numbers typically increase through the spring.)

Open House was a wonderful success! It was great to see volunteers explaining their ‘jobs’ to others. Thank you for promoting this event.
Construction on our expansion started today. They expect this project to be finished in 3-4 week—we’ll hope for 3. As this project progresses, we’ll plan another open house and training. NRM has truly been blessed with this opportunity to better serve our community. If you haven’t already volunteered in some way, please prayerfully consider how you can help our community reach out to each other through North Raleigh Ministries.
This month, we’re adding Friday to our 10-5 schedule. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Cindy Whittington at ccwhittington@bellsouth.net.
