Bill is a native of California, but grew up in Ecuador where his parents were missionaries. Bill served for 22 years in ministry in the Evangelical Covenant Church of America before being ordained in the Presbyterian Church, Bill has served in 4 previous Presbyterian churches as Interim Head of Staff. Dr. Deborah Kirk
Debbie was born and raised in Ocala, Florida and as a life-long Presbyterian, describes herself as "Presbyterian by birth and by choice." Debbie began her ministry as a Director of Christian Education from 1984 to 1993. She received her Masters of Divinity in 1995, and her Doctor of Ministry in 2002. Johanna Owens
Johanna was born and raised in Cary and grew up in the Kirk of Kildare. She graduated from University of Georgia, and received her Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary. She has served as Youth Director at Central Presbyterian in Athens, GA, Senior HIgh Ministries Director at St. Luke's Presbyterian in Dunwoody, Georgia, and will be a co-keynote speaker at the 2008 Montreat Youth Conference. Philip Hayden , Director of Music Ministries
Following four years of teaching high school vocal music, Phil accepted a teaching position at a Christian college in Colombia, SA, where he served five years, four of them as the chair of the Music Education Department. Colombia-Venezuela Union College in Medellin became the first government accredited non-Catholic university in Colombia. Following his tenure in Columbia, Phil accepted a similar position in Taiwan for four years. Phil has served over twenty-five years in music ministry and music education. Rev. Marty Duffell has been the Church Administrator since May 2002. Prior to his arrival at HMPC, Marty served for ten years as an Ordained Pastor in the United Methodist Church. Marty has earned a Business Administration Degree from the University of South Carolina and a Masters of Divinity Degree from The Divinity School at Duke University. Elizabeth Puryear has been Director of Handbells for 5 years. Elizabeth was born in Durham, graduated from Meredith College, and has been a member of HMPC since 1965. She was the church organist for 32 years prior to becoming Director of Handbells. |

Carol Yeargin, Organist. Carol is a music graduate of Meredith College, and also a recently retired Wake County elementary music educator. Sharon Peter has been connected to Hudson Memorial since her eldest daughter attended preschool here in 1990. Sharon began employment at HMPC as a teacher of 4 year olds in the preschool in 1994. Joyce Hawkins joined the HMPC family as Assistant Director of Children's Weekday Ministries (CWM) in February 2002. Joyce grew up in Malaysia, and graduated from Purdue University. Joyce and her husband, Jeff, have a daughter and son. Joyce is in charge of Hudson Highlights (the Children's Weekday Ministries' newsletter) as well as registration and tuition payments for CWM. Wanda Evans joined HMPC in January 2008 as our Food Services Director. Wanda was born and raised in Wake County, and graduated from NCSU with a degree in Agriculture Food Science and a concentration in AG Business. Wanda and her husband, Roosevelt, have 6 children and 1 dog. Wanda also works full-time for Wake County Public Schools as Cafeteria Manager for Highcroft Elementary School.
