Holy Week 2018
Maundy Thursday - March 29, 7 pm
Maundy Thursday worship, at 7pm on March 29th, is one of the most poignant worship services we experience in the entire church year. The events surrounding Jesus’ arrest, trial and crucifixion are retold in word and congregational sung responses, in a Service of Shadows. This ancient service, employing dimming lights with each successive scripture passage, powerfully focuses our attention and leads us in reflection on Jesus’ great love and sacrifice for us.
Music is a special feature of this annual service. Our Music Director has composed music for flute, oboe, cello and piano, along with congregational and choral responses. The musicians are some of our finest local professionals, and with our Chancel Choir, all the music intertwines poignantly with the story told in scripture. You will be blessed by hearing and contemplating on these powerful scenes from Jesus’ final days.
Good Friday - March 30 - 12 Noon – Please come to this short, lunch-time service as we reflect on the cross.
Easter Sunday - April 1
8-10:15 am, Cancake Breakfast – Join us for a delicious pancake breakfast prepared by the Presbyterian Men’s Association (PMA) in Westminster Hall. Bring canned goods to benefit North Raleigh Ministries.
8:30 am, Outdoor Chapel Easter Worship – This outdoor Easter service will be a shorter service with joyful acoustic guitar music and communion by intinction. Come in relaxed clothing. The chapel area is next to the labyrinth on the north end of our campus. If there is rain the service will move to the sanctuary.
10:30 am, Easter Worship in the Sanctuary – This service will include the handbell choir, communion and the Hallelujah Chorus at the end of worship.

Due to Covid-19, we will have worship services available online but not in the sanctuary. Presently our church building is closed.  We will give appropriate notice when our building opens again for worship and various group activities.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.  Worship, educational groups and other activities continue to happen virtually. The building is closed, but the church is open."
