Sunday Evening Bible Study
The Sunday Night Bible Study Class begins September 18 and meets weekly (through November) from 6-8:30 pm in the John Knox Room.
We will use William Willimon’s* new book Fear of the Other: No Fear in Love to guide our study of scripture, our personal reflections and our conversation as we consider what it means to live as Christ did: welcoming the “other” and seeing neighbors as being part of the rich fabric of humanity God has created. In a culture filled with too much divisiveness, so many actions taken against one another, and hate filled rhetoric, as Christians and Presbyterians we have an alternative voice. Together we will explore how to use it authentically as we consider “how to think like Christians so that we might be given the grace to act like Jesus.”  (*Professor of the Practice of Christian Ministry at Duke Divinity School and former Dean of the Chapel at Duke University.)
Registration due by September 6. Cost is $6.00 You may register below or use the form found on the Adult Education Bulletin Board. You may pay for the class here.
