When you stand on the new patio of the Memorial Garden and face south, not only do you look upon the niches of the saints who built this church, you also look upon the glass windows that bring light to our worship in the sanctuary. There is a natural connection between these two spaces.

From April 2022 to June 2022, the Session would like to raise $85,000 to cover the cost of sanctuary windows, as well as Phase III of the Memorial Garden upgrade.

GARDEN

In 2021, upon the conclusion of the Capital Campaign Ramp Project, the Memorial Garden Committee began planning for a major upgrade of the Memorial Garden that would truly honor the saints who are remembered there. This became particularly important for the committee as the windows lining our new ramp gave greater visibility to the Memorial Garden. Phase I and II were completed in the fall of 2021. The funds used for these phases had been collected over the years when niches were purchased or individuals made donations to the maintenance of the garden.

The Memorial Garden Committee now needs funds to pay for Phase III, which includes:

• The installation of a pergola around the patio
• New seating options
• Garden sculpture installation
• Reserve funds for future maintenance and repairs that may emerge with

niches, the memorial wall, and garden upkeep

GLASS

In 2019, the Session approved a plan to replace the windows in the sanctuary that were in disrepair. Six new windows were paid for and have been installed. We need to install four more windows, for a total cost of $35,000.

THE INVITATION

This spring, we invite you to make a one-time gift to the 2022 Garden & Glass Campaign. It is our hope that we can finish off these two projects in an effort to honor our worship and the saints remembered here. If you feel led to give, please fill out the information below and make your financial gift by June 2022.

Gifts can be made in the following ways: Click the Donate/Pay tab, mail or deliver a check to the church made out to Hudson Memorial Presbyterian Church, with “Garden & Glass” written on the memo line.
