FELLOWSHIP & CARE
FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
At HMPC, we believe community is at the heart of who we are. Being part of a church family means sharing life together, building friendships, and finding a true sense of belonging. Our active Fellowship Committee works hard to plan a wide variety of fun and enriching events—there’s always something happening for every age and stage! From lively social gatherings to meaningful opportunities for connection, HMPC is a place where everyone can get involved and feel at home.
CONGREGATIONAL CARE

Do you know a young family at HMPC who is about to have a baby? Call the church and let us know before the baby is born. A rose is placed in the chancel the Sunday after the baby’s birth and an announcement to the congregation is placed in the bulletin. A PW Circle is assigned to “adopt” this baby for a year and makes plans to visit the family with a meal soon after the birth.

Congregational Care is provided by clergy, staff and Deacons, chosen and trained for this ministry. We share with one another in times of celebration and support one another in times of sorrow.

Visitation
The Pastors and Deacons are available to visit members in hospitals, care facilities and homes on a short or long term basis. Notify the Deacon on Call through the Prayer Line (919) 390-2688 or one of the pastors if you would like a visit.
Pre-Marriage Consultation
Church members, their children and grandchildren may request a wedding at HMPC. Once approved and scheduled, the officiating pastor will meet with the couple a minimum of three times for pre-marriage counseling and service preparation.
Baptism Consultation
Church members, their children and grandchildren may request a baptism at HMPC. Once approved and scheduled, the officiating pastor will meet with a teenager or adult at his/her discretion and will meet a minimum of one time with parents of children being baptized to review the commitment and the process.
