Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women (PW) includes all women who are members of Hudson Memorial Presbyterian Church (HMPC). We join in various ways for fellowship, Bible study, church and mission projects. All women of the church are invited to participate in our gatherings.
OUR PURPOSE
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study

To support the mission of the church worldwide

To work for justice and peace, and
-
To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA), and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
ACTIVITIES OF PW AT HUDSON
Church Projects
-
The Presbyterian Women present each confirmand with a personalized Bible at the beginning of their confirmand “season”.
PW sponsors and hosts the annual Christmas Joy music worship reception which is a joyous celebration and fellowship event in December. -
PW hosts the Spring Music Worship reception in May.

Mission Projects
-
The Presbyterian Women of HMPC support congregational, community and world mission projects through Circle members’ pledges. These include PCUSA causes as well as benevolences awarded annually to community organizations which focus on needs of children and women.

The group also collects items and assembles gift bags for residents of Capital Towers.
​
Benevolence
Annual benevolences to organizations in our community that support women and children include Women’s Center of Wake County, Hope Center at Pullen, and the Frankie Lemmon Foundation.
